Requirements

Boarding4Dogs strives for a safe and happy environment for all our guests. Please take time to read our requirements then complete the application-contact form. Thank you!

  • We currently have limited available openings for daycare and overnight boarding. Please read all the requirements below and make sure your dog is friendly with other dogs and with people prior to filling out our application. Thank you
  • All dogs must get along with other dogs while attending our daycare or overnight boarding.
  • For the well-being of all our guests, we do not accept dogs with any form of aggression, including toy aggression or food aggression. We do not accept dogs who are extremely fearful, dogs with a high prey drive, dogs who have separation anxiety (panic and/or bark non-stop if their person is not nearby), or dogs who show a high desire to escape, as these behaviors are disruptive to our other guests. If your dog has shown any of these behaviors, please do not schedule a visit.
  • All dogs must be fully vaccinated, and spayed, or neutered prior to a visit here.
  • All our new guests are required to attend a meet and greet prior to attending daycare or overnight boarding. After the meet and greet, approved dogs are required to attend a full daycare before confirming eligibility to continue daycare or overnight boarding. The daycare rate applies and is non-refundable. Please make sure your dog(s) fit our requirements prior to scheduling a visit.
  • Required vaccines: Rabies, DHLPP (Distemper, Canine Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus), Canine Influenza, and Kennel Cough (Bordetella) vaccines. A copy of your dog's vaccine record is required annually and at the time of the meet and greet. Contact your veterinarian for a copy of your dog's vaccine record and proof of spay neuter to be sent to boarding4dogs@gmail.com.
  • Fully vaccinated pups as young as 6 months are welcome to attend daycare and overnight boarding after they pass our initial visit.
  • All dogs must be spayed or neutered prior to attending a trial visit. Ask your veterinarian at which age is best to neuter or spay your pup.
  • If your dog has received a required vaccine for the first time, please wait 7 days after the vaccination has been administered before visiting us.
  • We recommend puppy socialization classes for pups prior to 6 months old. Most local pet stores have information regarding puppy socialization classes.

  • All our dog guests must be free of fleas. Ask your veterinarian which flea/tick repellant products they suggest.
  • We do not accept bully breeds or guard dog breeds. They often don't do well in a high-energy pack environment.
  • The completed and signed service contract is required at the time of the visit. The contract will be sent to you by email.

Trial visit required

  • All dogs are required to attend a meet and greet prior to attending daycare or overnight boarding. If the meet and greet goes well then your pup is required to attend a full day of daycare before scheduling continued care. If the daycare visit goes well then your pup is welcome to attend our daycare and overnight boarding.

  • A copy of your dog's annual vaccine record, certificate of spay/neuter, and the service contract are required at the time of your dog's first visit. You can send your vaccine and spay neuter certificate to boarding4dogs@gmail.com.

  • Proof of vaccines are required annually and at the time of your fist visit. The following vaccines are required; Rabies, Distemper, Canine Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus, Canine Influenza, and Bordatella (kennel cough) vaccines. Also, consider having your dog vaccinated against Lyme disease as Lyme diseas is common in New England.

Items needed for overnight boarding

  • Please bring enough food for your dog's stay and label your dog's food with his/her name. A quick switch to a different brand of food can upset a dog's digestive system, so it is best to transition your dog's food slowly when you decide to switch your dog's food.

  • We have bowls, toys, and blankets for our guests while they are here. You are welcome to bring a bed or blanket; however, we cannot guarantee that it will go home in the same condition as it arrived.
